Mexico Sues Arizona over Immigration Law

This is taking hypocrisy to a new level. Mexico filed a lawsuit in federal court on Tuesday against Arizona demanding that states new immigration law be declared ‘unconstitutional’.

This coming from a country that cannot provide for its own citizens and where the ‘rule of law’ is a joke. Meanwhile they have their army on their own southern border with live ammunition and their own laws treat illegal immigrants far worse than any state in the USA including Arizona.

In his last visit President Felipe Calderon was forced to admit that Mexico had laws in place very similar to Arizona’s. In fact according to a recent Amnesty International report:

“…illegal immigrants in Mexico — typically from Central America — face abuse, rape and kidnappings, and that Mexican police do little to stop it. When illegal immigration was a criminal offense in Mexico, officials were known to seek bribes from suspects to keep them out of jail.”

Response: Regardless of what you think about the Arizona Immigration law, it is the height of hypocrisy for Mexico to sue Arizona over their immigration law when their own actions are just as bad or more likely even worse. Illegal immigrants in Arizona can expect to be treated far better any coming into Mexico.

Just try to get work if you are undocumented in Mexico and forget about putting your kids in school or going to a hospital in Mexico, or buying property. It isn’t going to happen and more than likely you will find yourself in jail. Then the shady administrators will demand money from your family for your food and keep or a huge fine for your release.

There is no real ‘rule of law’ or ‘due process’ in that country but they are suing Arizona? Hopefully the judge will throw file this into the nearest circular file where it richly deserves to be.
